⭐️⭐️ Very disappointed with the tandoori chicken. It was dipped/coated in a very sweet sauce, which completely overpowered the tandoori flavor. It did not taste fresh and was not good at all. Not what I expected from this restaurant

Wow, just had a great meal from Star of India, their food is always great but tonight was just soooooo good, lamb sag was packed with lamb and perfect spice level, best tikka masala I've ever had, GF had sag paneer and loved it. Completely addictive food.

We love Star of India for over 20yrs. During that time we have tried many other Indian restaurants in NJ and other parts of the world. We still agree this restaurant is one of the best. Their meals are very generous in size and super flavorful. In addition, the family who owns actively runs it which gives it super high standards. Can't wait to dig into my take out order from today. We have had family dinners there and I have also brought my employees there too. Plenty of room for larger parties. Highly recommend trying out Star of Indian.pur favorite dishes are either vegetable tikki marsala or chicken tikki, vegetable korma, shrimp tandoori, and a naan made from lentil & chickpea.

As soon as you walk in, you’re met with a pleasant, yet subtle, scent of incense. The ambiance is very intimate, with beautiful decor and lighting that isn’t overwhelmingly bright. We were greeted instantly. The staff was very warm, incredibly kind. Before even receiving the food, I made a mental note that I would come back. The food. It was everything I could've wanted. If you’re put off by the idea of spicy food, they have some very soft spices that are incredibly flavorful and have little to no kick, if that’s your thing. The tandoori chicken was divine. A must-try. The chicken saagwala was excellent, as well as both their garlic and butter naan.

What you see in the picture : Chicken tandoori Chicken Tiki Marasala Chicken saagwala Garlic and butter Naan We came here during our EMS shift and had a wonderful experience. The service was warm, friendly, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The food was incredible, especially the chicken tandoori—it was my first time trying it, and I was very impressed. The chicken was flavorful, moist, and served in generous portions. I would definitely come back again and highly recommend this place to others.
